Character Name: Kiyoshi Fujisawa
Teaching Position: French. I believe Kiyoshi is suited for this subject best because he has learned a good amount of the language and believes that by teaching others, he’ll avoid getting rusty. He also believes that by teaching the language, he’ll grow more passionate about wanting to move to France for his dream. He graduated college with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in French and minoring in teaching/education.
Home Location: Kiyoshi lives in a small home in a suburban area between town and the academy. A close acquaintance owned it, so he was able to get it cheap. It takes him about fifteen minutes to get to school by car.

History: Kiyoshi was born in Osaka, Japan. Kiyoshi's birth into the world wasn't exactly a happy one. His father, Noburo, was an irresponsible, cold man with a hopeless view on life. He often went out to party and meet a lot of women. He was never married, but instead knocked up a woman who later forced Kiyoshi into his custody out of anger. Kiyoshi never knew his mother to this day. Kiyoshi grew up with only his father as his close family. He also had his cousin, Tsutomu, whom he treated like a brother, and his aunt, Midori, whom he treated like his mother. When Noburo was given custody of Kiyoshi, he decided his carelessness wasn’t going to help him with his future. He got a job, and focused on work. He forced himself to turn into a responsible adult, but due to his cold, inexpressive personality, he wasn’t very good with his child when it came to praise. Noburo only brought out Kiyoshi’s flaws, and if he ever praised him, they sounded empty. It was difficult for Kiyoshi to please his dad, so as a result he became a shy, unconfident child. He continued being this way until he was around ten. At that age, Noburo's job had made him transfer over to a branch in New York City, therefore forcing Kiyoshi to leave his family behind and live with his father in America. He lived there for five years, and graduated middle school there. America was much more open and much more intimidating than Japan, and Kiyoshi was terrified of where he had to live. The subways and metros were definitely a lot different than the ones in Osaka. Less crowded, but they contained all kinds of people, including dangerous ones. He met Mike, a half-Japanese half American boy on a subway one day, and they instantly became friends. Thanks to Mike who helped him adapt, Kiyoshi slowly became less and less timid, and more open and outgoing. He also began to realize that he was attracted to both sexes because of Mike, who became his first crush. With America being a nation that emphasized individuality, It didn't take him long to become the kind of person he is today.

But there was something he discovered about his father during his years in NYC. Since the US was more open and less passive, homosexuality was a common sight since people flirted and showed affection in public, especially in the gay district that Kiyoshi would sometimes walk through out of curiosity. Because of this, he discovered that his father had a much darker, more intolerable side. He was homophobic, and showed it by commenting to Kiyoshi his disgust whenever he saw two men showing affection on the streets. It angered Kiyoshi, who had grown to love and tolerate all kinds of people for who they are, and even had a liking for men himself (although his standards for men were high, so he didn’t date men very often). Knowing his father would definitely not accept him for who he is now, Kiyoshi began to grow distant from him. After five years of living in New York had passed, Noburo was once again transferred back to Osaka, and again Kiyoshi was forced to leave the friends he had behind.

Kiyoshi graduated high school in Osaka when he was seventeen. It was a milestone in his life, but not that special of an event for him. He had told his father that he wanted to work as a hair stylist, kind of as a joke to annoy him. Since his father considered hairstyling and cosmetology to be frivolous feminine activities, it most definitely annoyed him. But after some thinking, Kiyoshi decided that he really wanted to travel to France to work in a salon as a professional hairdresser. Being good with his hands, he thought he'd definitely succeed that profession. However, such an aspiration was expensive. If Kiyoshi was going to live his dream, he needed to get a college education and get a decent paying job, despite not being a fan of doing so. He already had plans to go to beauty school, but he also decided to make it a goal to get four years of regular college education as well.

While continuing to live in Osaka, he was exposed to more of his father's intolerance toward homosexuality, and his hatred for him grew stronger. He kept it to himself for quite some time, but during his nineteenth year, he discovered that his cousin had come out. Elated that a close family member of his came out of his shell, Kiyoshi only then became completely distant from his father. In fact, Noburo got on his nerves so much, Kiyoshi wanted to get on his nerves. Call it a sort of late teenage rebellion, Kiyoshi started behaving in a girly, flamboyant manner. He wore clothes with feminine colors, mostly pink, tight shirts and pants, dyed his hair pink, and dated men more often than usual. Noburo had a sexist, backwards view on gender expectation, and noticed Kiyoshi’s ‘girly’ behaviors, such as the clothes and the hair. What angered him more was seeing his son dating other men. He never really brought it up, assuming (and desperately hoping) Kiyoshi was just in a phase that started thanks to his life in New York. At this point, Kiyoshi could have moved out started his life, but with the lack of college education, money, and plan, he had no choice but to stay with his father and continue this ‘phase’ for a few more years.

Later on while Kiyoshi was still nineteen, Noburo was transferred to France for two years for his job. Kiyoshi learned a decent bit of French during his stay, enough to take a beauty school course there for a year. Aside from that, nothing eventful happened. It was after they came back to Osaka once more that Kiyoshi’s patience had faded, causing a significant change in the relationship with his father. Kiyoshi was twenty-one, but he had still not come out of his 'phase'. When Noburo decided to call him out on his ‘unacceptable behavior’, Kiyoshi had snapped and called Noburo out on his flaws, and confessed to him about the main reason why he behaved the way Noburo didn’t want him to. A nasty fight had started, and Kiyoshi wasn't on speaking terms with his father any longer. During a very quiet night, Kiyoshi decided that fight was the last straw and got on his laptop to find himself a home to move into. Out of luck, he got an email from his friend Mike who told him of a house his father owned in Feldman, Illinois where he could stay. Wanting to be away from his father, Kiyoshi eagerly left his home and moved into Feldman. Since Mike’s father was fond of Kiyoshi, he let him have the house for a cheaper price.

Once settled into a small house, Kiyoshi then took four years at a local college, majoring in French. With the dream of opening his own salon in France still far ahead, Kiyoshi had to take a look at the obstacles. He had to have a very good knowledge of the language if he were to have a chance of succeeding in the country. During his stay at college, he has learned of a private school known as Feldman Academy. After some deep thinking, Kiyoshi had consideration of getting a job there. Having a good grade in French class, his French professor had advised him that if he were to teach the language to others, his passion for his dream could grow, with the added bonus of better learning the language and avoiding rustiness. Taking this advice, Kiyoshi took teaching and education as a minor. While he decided to teach at the academy to keep himself familiar with the language, he also took a part-time job at a local hair salon to avoid being rusty with his primary career dream.

Once graduated out of college, Kiyoshi made no hesitation to apply at Feldman Academy, taking one step closer to achieving his ultimate dream. He was a bit discouraged at the fact that it was a boys only school, but being an optimistic person, he figured he’ll probably be less distracted in the exclusive company of male teachers..

Personality: At first glance, Kiyoshi is definitely a head turner. Growing up in a conforming place such as Tokyo, his pink haircut, flashy clothes, and uncouth voice definitely turns heads and attracts attention. Some are impressed and amused, some are terribly annoyed. Thanks to living in places such as New York and Europe, he does not have that quiet, refined manner that is common in Japan. Kiyoshi is a campy, flamboyant, and outgoing man. He's loud, he's annoying, he's pretty much a guy you'd consider comic relief in a TV show. He doesn't think before he speaks, and he usually does not regret what he says. He proudly struts his stuff every day on the streets, including his hair and trendy clothes. What started as acting out to annoy his father turned into how he acts every day because he loves basking in the attention it gets him.

Despite what his flamboyant behavior seems to imply, Kiyoshi prefers women to men, or rather, his standards for men are very high, so finding a woman is easier. Continuing on this subject, Kiyoshi is very sexual and lustful. He enjoys sex, enjoys pleasing his partners, and is out on dates quite often during his free time. He doesn’t know the meaning of committed relationships, which is probably a trait he’ll struggle with in the future. He is a huge pervert, and will often times discuss sexual topics in public, whether with strangers or friends.

Kiyoshi is big on bark and no bite. He likes to show off and talk big. He brags about accomplishments, some he even might have made up. He is vain, and thinks he is a stunning creature and will use it as a flirting tool. Despite talking about how cool and sexy he is, he is cowardly when he gets into a serious or dangerous situation. However, he'll try to act tough unless the situation is obviously too dangerous for him to handle. If the situation is endangering those close to him, however, he'll protect them no matter how scared he is. following this, he shows a motherly nature as times when he's caring for those who are hurt and frightened. He's a bit embarrassed of it, but he shows no shame in it.

When it comes to friends, Kiyoshi is generally easy to get along with. It all depends on the person he's interacting with. Many will find his personality annoying, but those who wish to become friends with him can easily do so. He knows no acquaintances, only good friends. Everyone he befriends is instantly like family, as if he were a clingy type of person. As a habit he picked up from France, he's very affectionate towards his friends, whether public or not. He'll hug them, tickle them, and occasionally kiss their cheek. Because of this, he could very easily make someone uncomfortable if they don't like such affection. Personal space is not in his vocabulary. He'll often give weird pet names, such as 'sugar cookie' or 'chickadee', or something equally as embarrassing.

This flamboyant behavior of his isn’t without reason. He hides a completely different person deep inside his conscience. A lonely, timid person. As mentioned earlier, Kiyoshi grew up a quiet, timid child. He had no mother to coddle him as a toddler, and his father wasn’t the best at coddling. He rarely ever saw his father during his childhood, since Noboru was more at work than at home, and Kiyoshi spent more of his time in daycare. Kiyoshi never got the attention he craved as a child, and as a result craves that attention as an adult. That child is still deep inside his subconsciousness, and wants all eyes on him, for people to surround him, to acknowledge his existence, to love him. Perhaps one of the reasons he took teaching was because when one is a teacher, people have no choice but to pay attention.

Appearance: Kiyoshi is a tall man at 6'2, taller than the average Japanese adult. He has a toned body and stands with a straight posture, as if to show off. His hair is black, but died pink with the black roots reveals under it. He sports something similar to a crew cut, but it's a bit more spiky, consisting of hair gel he tends to put in his hair. His wardrobe is made up of trendy and quirky clothes. His eyes are dark brown, almost black. Cubic Zirconium Diamond earrings are on each of his ear, with the shell of one ear pierced with a golden hoop. The best way to view his appearance would be through his icons.
Not seen in icons: He has a faint burn scar on his forearm, and there's a small, faint beard on his chin. He trims and keeps it neat, believing chin scruff can be an appealing quality in a man.

Extracurricular Activities: Due to his side job as a hair stylist, he has no time to lead any after-school activities.

First Person Sample: [It’s getting late. Kiyoshi needs to be home soon. His favorite TV show was starting soon! He looks over to his student, a young man who was finishing up his test. The poor thing was so tired this morning, he couldn’t finish his test and ended up falling asleep. Kiyoshi didn’t want to punish him, but he had to. For sleeping in class, the pink-haired man made the student stay after class to finish his test.]

You have ten minutes left, honey. [He speaks in a teasing voice, though there is some frustration in his tone. The boy snaps out of his daze, and writes as quickly as he can. Kiyoshi ends up chuckling.]

[Five minutes pass. The boy doesn’t seem to be going any quicker. In fact, Kiyoshi notices that the boy has dozed off once again.]

...Oh boy. [With a sigh, Kiyoshi tiptoes over to him, to take a look at his test. He has one question left, and yet he takes this chance to fall asleep? Smirking, Kiyoshi decides to mess around with him. All of a sudden, he slams his hands onto his student’s desk, followed by violently shaking his desk.]

EARTHQUAAAAKE! HURRY UP AND RUN FOR SAFETY! [He watches with a hearty laugh as the poor guy quickly takes his things and runs out the door.]

Third Person Sample:

“Bienvenue, mes étudiants!” The door slammed open, revealing a tall, flashy-looking man in the doorway. Two seconds, and one could already notice that this man was odd. From his brightly colored tie with chains and holes, to his spiked up hair which was the color of bubblegum, to the strong scent of cotton candy perfume emitting from his attempted professional attire. He walked towards the front desk which was placed in front of the chalkboard. The boys sitting in their desks were more than likely staring in confusion, and Kiyoshi was very okay with that. As long as all eyes were on him, everything was going to go well. He approached the chalkboard, taking a small piece of the powdery white chalk in his hand. From them, he proceeded to write his full name: Fujisawa Kiyoshi.

...All in kanji characters.

He then turned around, noticing even more confusion from the faces of his boys.

“...Oh right! French class!” Giggling, he erased the characters on the board, and replaced them with their Roman counterparts.

“Alright, as y’all can read...hopefully, I suppose ya’ll will probably call me Mr. Fujisawa.” He got to the front of his desk, to which he sat down on, following by crossing his leg over the other.

“Well ya don’t have to! Mr. Fujisawa is my father! Call me Kiyoshi, or Mr. Kiyoshi, or even Yoshi. Anything is fine! I’m pretty flexible, I’d like to say. Now, how about we go around the class and tell each other a little bit about ourselves, huh?"

He had a big, cheesy grin on his face. The start of the school year was going to be interesting, if he can get this amusing a reaction from his class.
